We have had great experiences here. The food is pretty good and the service is excellent! We have always brought a big bunch and they were totally okay with our big old group. Hope you enjoy too!

Delicious authentic mexican restaurant near Madison, VA! Among 4 of us we ordered 2 combination fajitas (sorry forgot the name), large shrimp cocktail, a pitcher of dos xx, and a large mango margarita for me! I have to say, this was one of the best fajitas I've had! Not at all dry, not too salty, perfectly skillet grilled beef, chicken, and shrimp! Shrimp coctail has generous counts of shrimp with chunks of avocado emerged in one of the best... I think salsa sauce. We enjoyed every bite! I'll definitely be back when I come visit my family again in Madison!

Always worth the trip to Ruckersville! This place is great atmosphere, friendly waitstaff,and delicious Mexican food. Everything is fresh and authentic. I just can't say enough, Me gusto El Agave!

Fresh, delicious food every time, served by friendly and helpful staff, owner usually is there. Our favorite restaurant by far, we drive an hour to go and would drive even farther to get his ceviche dish, "Botana" Mmmmmm!!!

I've lived in and around GC for 15 years and it's literally the best Mexican I've ever had in my life. I've eaten at other places up and down the East Coast and in the Midwest yet NOTHING compares. The salsa alone is worth going for. El Agave forever!!

This was extremely delicious and authentic Mexican food! I had an extremely delicious dinner here with my sister. We got drinks, really tasty guacamole appetizer, and two giant platters from the "specialties of the house" section of the menu - carnitas (served with rice, refried beans and cheese, jalapenos or pico de gallo) and a GINORMOUS carnitas burrito - all for $32. Everything was so delicious. We also got chips and salsa for free and they were not stingy with the salsa! We got a small carafe of it so we could also eat it with our entrees. This place is also a nice place to eat - with big tables or booths, plants, art, and excellent table service. I wish it were closer to where I live so I could eat here ALL THE TIME! so good. so good!

I grew up in GC, and came here often in high school, so I was nervous to take my husband and family here on a weekend trip home because I talked it up with so much nostalgia. I didn't have to worry because El agave delivered, and was even better than I remembered. I've been to numberable Mexican restaurants in the DC area, and let me tell you - this salsa destroys then all. I took some home with me. I dream about it. Everyone loved their food. I had the pollo tapatio and it was incredible, just as remembered. This place is the perfect pit stop off of 29 and a destination on its own. The best type of small town joint, el agave is fresh, comforting and delicious. You can't go wrong with a stop here. I wish I could put into words how much I love this place.

Delicious and authentic Mexican dishes! I absolutely love their tacos al pastor and the cheese dip! Strong margaritas and a relaxed atmosphere. Good and friendly staff. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Mexican food in a laid back atmosphere!

El Agave has awesome food and awesome people that work there! After a late night of moving from our apartment into our new home, my family was exhausted and hungry. Not a good combination. When my family and I walking into El Agave at 9:30pm (they close at 10), I expected to be scolded. However, everyone in the restaurant was nothing short of happy to see us. I truly appreciate the hospitality and quality of the food!

Best consistent Mexican I've found since living in the DC Mero area (I went to uni in San Antonio). The flavors are on point. You can't beat the lunch prices. Drinks are good. They have a great patio. Service is always fast and courteous. Sure, the decor looks like something you'd find on Telemundo, but that is a good sign! Enjoy!

For being in a small town in the middle of VA, I was surprised how good the food tasted. My husband's Mexican so when he put his stamp of approval on the food I know it's right. I had the carne asada tacos, so good and filling!

I LOVE this restaurant! It has a homey Mexican feel to it, and Louis the lead waiter is always funny, friendly and fast. My favorite item on the menu is the Coktel De Cammarones aka Shrimp Cocktail. They have good deals, good drinks, and just plain good food. Because I can speak Spanish, I enjoy the ambiance of the place, and I always look forward to going there!

My husband and I just moved to Virginia and have been to El Agave almost every week we've been here so far. We absolutely love this cute little restaurant. Food is great and service is wonderful. We will definitely be coming back!

Stopped in for dinner and was seated quickly. Server (name not given) took drink order and another delivered chips and salsa. Both were good and home made. I ordered the El Agave special which turned out to be delicious and plentiful. Overall a very good experience.

Fresh, flavorful and very reasonable prices! Everything that I had was very good!! From the flavorful Carne Pastor Tacos, Pacifico on tap (not pricey!) to the Fried Ice Cream dessert!! Yeah, I will be back when business brings me though, that is a fact!!!

Dinner was delicious. Drinks were better than expected. Dessert was AWESOME. Service was good. Wait staff was friendly. Price was on point. Only downside-- every time fajitas came out of the kitchen the smoke alarm went off.
